Porsche Centre West London

February 09, 2024

I have just spent a fantastic few days with the sales team at Porsche Centre West London. The mission was to create sales/marketing imagery for their website.

Such an iconic name conjures up visions of epic Mediterranean road trips.

An area in the prep centre was put aside for me to shoot in. Mark, (my Debbie McGee for the project) was assigned to me for shuffling the cars into position between shots. The brief was to shoot a collection of images of each car for the sales website. These to include 4-5 ’hero’ profile shots of the car from various angles. These ‘hero’ shots are sent off by the sales team to be cut out and the Porsche backdrop added. In addition to these will be a set of interior and exterior detail shots from each car.

‘Hero’ shots ahead of going over to the Porsche DVI Team

Exterior Details…

So many different wheels and finishes, diamond cut, silver, black, gloss, matte…. Red brake callipers, white callipers…. Even the headlights aren’t just headlights!!

Interior Details…

It was really enjoyable pulling out the different levels of interior detailing. The different models had all kinds of lovely extras added to the build spec. The attention to detail running through some of the 911s was amazing….. I just need 6 numbers on a Saturday and I might just treat myself!!

Behind the scenes…

This car has a sunroof…. ok, well what better way to show that than by taking a photo through it….

Shot at arms reach with Nikon D850 on LiveView so I can see the centre console, remote triggering the PixaPro CITI600s.
Currently my new iPhone wallpaper !!

It was a good challenge finding ways to capture the detail of the colour changeable cabin ambient comfort lighting. I know from my own car that it’s much less visible in daytime compared to the dark of night driving.

Under exposing on a long several seconds shutter timing did the trick…

I had a great time…. I hope the photos do their job for you and create lots of sales enquires. Thank you Mark for all your help…. see you all next time!

One of the fab things about being a motorsport photographer is some of the amazing events I get to shoot at. Some are more special and significant than others. Non more so than when it is a point in history at an iconic track. This year I travelled 100 years of Le...
