Website, Branding and Product Photography

My images are helping large & small companies promote and grow the their businesses. The images I have taken for them have been used in magazines, websites, social media, PR, even historical archaeology reports.

It’s great when I hear from clients that the images I took are working hard for them. Recently one shoot produced images that were used for their adverts in 32 different magazines across the world.

Automotive and Motorsport Photography

Ever since I can remember, I have been around cars and motorsport. As a family, Grandad, Dad, myself and my younger brother have all driven rally cars. Competing in UK, European & World Championship events.

When I first picked up a Nikon DSLR it was obvious my natural environment would be back trackside. My storytelling style of motorsport photography is as happy facing the track as it is capturing the action in the pit lane!

Events Photographer

Corporate Events and Golf Day Photography

Event Photography covers just about every event or gathering you can think of. It could be corporate client entertainment days, exhibitions and conferences. Staff incentive days or awards evening. A large news event or national celebration needing images for media.

Just as important though are smaller personal events that create memories. The local village fetes and fairs, school sports days or charity events. So many occasions where photographs will capture those moments and tell a story of the day.

Portrait Photographer

Portrait and Headshot Photography

I am inspired by watching people in daily life, all no doubt with a story to tell. A photo can sometimes capture that story in a split second, if we just take the time to look. Capturing just a moment with that person can still show their whole personality!

Many people feel very awkward having their photo taken. Turn this way and that, chin up, chin down, look here – look there.

Your photos can be taken at home, in the garden, workshop, half way up a mountain… wherever you feel relaxed!! Go for a walk to a favourite park or woodland. Then just enjoy the time and try to forget there’s a photographer with a camera… because that’s when we’ll capture ‘the real you’.

Personal Projects

Wildlife and Landscape Photography

I really enjoy wildlife photography of any kind, whatever they come wrapped in…. Fur or Feathers! We are lucky in this country to have some stunning wildlife in our gardens and on our doorsteps. Just sit quietly and take a look! From tiny Blue Tits in the garden, dew covered spider webs, bees busily visiting flower after flower. Graceful swans on our rivers, to my personal favourite and our country’s largest wild animal, The Red Deer.

Going out with the sole aim of photographing a landscape was not something I did very often. However I find myself forced to stop the car, get out and walk back to just stare at amazing scenery. Holiday travel and ‘roadtrips’ have allowed this part of my photography to grow. I’m finding I am being drawn to the relaxation that comes from a good walk in beautiful scenery. The very process of setting up a tripod and framing a shot takes time. It slows me down, in stark contrast to the split second reactions to capture motorsport.
