RREC Round Britain Tour 2017 – Commemorative Brochure
Back in June 2017 I spent a day at Brooklands Museum near Woking, with the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. I was there taking photos of stunning classic Rolls Royce Silver Ghosts & other Rolls Royce cars taking part in the Round Britain Tour 2017. Recently they very kindly sent me a copy of the ‘RREC Round Britain Tour 2017 – Commemorative Brochure’ featuring some of my images from the day.
Opening the lovely colourful brochure to the Contents Page, I discovered I had been given a section all to myself. It’s a lovely feeling to see people like my work enough to publish it for others to find interesting & enjoy.
The brochure was filled with articles & images describing these beautiful cars, proudly restored by their owners. This Round Britain Tour looked to be a great event & the participants clearly had a lovely time. A grand Gala Dinner the night before they departed from Brooklands was enjoyed by all. Turning the page over of HRH Prince Michael of Kent flagged the first car up Brooklands Test Hill, I found a double page spread containing more of my images…. & I hadn’t even got to my bit yet!
The articles continued over the next few pages describing highlights of their 17 day Round Britain Tour. Our country has some beautiful scenery & made even better with lovely old cars driving through it. If the RREC ever run this full country tour again, it would be great to shoot in these stunning locations.
p28-29 FOCUS ON THE DETAILS…
….and another little bonus I wasn’t expecting. I made the Back Cover image too!!
The organisers said the feedback from the tour participants was that they had enjoyed the close detail captured in my photos. I’m really pleased & look forward to seeing these lovely cars again some time.
