Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally 2019 – Burghley House
Back in 2017 I had a lovely day at Brooklands Museum taking photos of some Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts as they departed on the Round Britain Tour 2017. Off the back of those images I was delighted to be asked to cover the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally 2019 at Burghley House.
The 3 day event would feature a special celebration of the 100 years of Bentley Motors on the Saturday. Over 300 Bentleys were due to attend to mark the occasion. The morning sunshine greeted the first arrivals as they made their way sedately down the driveways.
Many hours of restoration & loving care that went into these beautiful cars by their proud owners was clear to see.
No matter the age, they all looked like they had just rolled out of the showroom. They made quite a sight, simply stunning. Chrome glistened, paintwork gleamed & glass sparkled, every inch polished to perfection
The event has something for everybody… talks by incredibly knowledgable experts…
Auto-Jumble in the hope of that part you’ve been searching for everywhere….
Or simply to relax over a picnic lunch & catch up with friends…
2019 is a special year for Bentley Motors, it was interesting to see it’s evolution with a parade of 40 cars through the ages in the afternoon.
Current Head of Design at Bentley, Stefan Sielaff was there to enjoy sight & drive the new Continental GTC.
A flypast by a WW2 Spitfire brought an end to the day. It was time for tired feet to make their way home
I had a great day photographing these lovely cars. A larger collection of photos from the day can be seen in Galleries or simply
