Tough Mudder London South 2015

This year, one of my client, Allens Total Perimeter Security has chosen to raise funds in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support & Cancer Treatment and Research Trust. So when they called & asked if I would follow a team going round a Tough Mudder event, I jumped at it. For a photographer shoots like these are a dream come true, a long busy day, but so much fun finding those magic moments throughout the day. It was a 12 mile course & even though I didn’t run alongside with the team I still covered 8 miles! Leapfrogging ahead to ready for them at ‘the’ obstacles we all want to see. I was pretty chuffed with that considering I carry 25kg of kit & a Nikon hanging off each shoulder!!

Everybody is there to have a great day, test themselves & to raise much needed funds for their very deserving charities dear to their hearts. I find the whole ethic of the Tough Mudder brilliant in that, yes you get a start time but you don’t get a finishing time…. that’s not important. What is important is the challenge to get round, the team work it takes to get yourself & others with you round. Even if you have never met them until the moment they grasp your hand & drag you out of the mud.

Here are a small collection of the images I captured on the event. Some are of Team Matt, some are of other competitors that I came across along the way…OMG.  It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day getting muddy, can’t wait for the next one….& no I’m not running it with you!!! Thank you for asking me to be a part of it with you.
